Homemade Healthy Granola
- 3 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup chopped nuts
- ½ seeds (e.g. pumpkin & sunflower seeds)
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup unsweetened apple sauce*
- ⅓ cup honey
- Preheat oven to 300C
- Add oats, nuts and seeds to a large mixing bowl
- Whisk together wet ingredients in a small bowl
- Pour wet ingredients over dry and mix well. Don't worry, there's enough of the liquid mixture to coat everything!
- Once everything's combined, spread evenly over a lined baking sheet
- Bake for 45-50 mins or until golden brown, stirring every 10 mins to avoid burning
*Check the baby food aisle for applesause or other fruit purees. The come in super convenient ½ cup portions!
