Chocolate Rocket Tea Review

26 October, 2013 by Giselle Rochford 1 Comment

Chocolate Rocket Tea

The Tea:

This evening I finally tried the last tea from the David’s Tea starter kit: Chocolate Rocket Tea. It’s a Brazilian mate with cocoa, almonds, roasted chicory root and raspberries.

The Preparation:

Use 1.5 tsp per cup and steep for 4 – 5 minutes in 94C water.

The Experience:

The weather in Waterloo is so unpredictable. I swear we experienced three seasons today alone! I had a boatload of errands I put off last week that I HAD to get done today so I was stuck outside for most of it 😕 It was a miserable day but it was great to come home to this amazing cup of tea and curl up and read a book 🙂

The Smell:

The chocolate rocket tea smelled just like chocolate raspberry cake! I shouldn’t have been surprised because DUH both are on the ingredient list. I almost didn’t want to drink it because I didn’t want to be disappointed!

The Taste:

The chocolate rocket tea was good, but there was just a bit too much raspberry for my liking. I did taste like the chocolate raspberry cake though which was great! I just could avoid the bulk of the raspberries like I do with the cake 😉

What are your thoughts on the Chocolate Rocket Tea from David’s Tea?

Wow, that sounds like a perfect way to end a chaotic day! I totally get the erratic weather struggle. After a day like that, I’d probably need something even more comforting – maybe a spiked hot chocolate? Or, if you’re still feeling the tea vibe, have you ever tried blending different tea types? I wonder if you’d like it if you mixed it with something vanilla-flavored, like the stuff from Eggy Car? Sounds like you deserve the R&R!
