The Tea:
Today’s tea was Purple Acai with blueberry, one of Lipton’s Green Tea Superfruit teas. This is another bagged tea that I’ve had for a while, but I haven’t tried this one before.
The Preparation:
This one is green tea, so use one bag per cup and steep in 82°C water for 3-4 minutes.
The Experience
I’ve kept my diet extra clean for the last couple weeks but this morning after my race I decided to splurge and have breakfast at a local diner. Looking back, it wasn’t the best idea to ‘reward’ my body with unhealthy foods and my body definitely let me know it after I was done :?. Drinking this tea really helped with the bloating and overall ‘meh’ feeling I had for the whole day after eating crap this morning! I could actually feel my stomach settling after the first sip! It was amazing 🙂
The Smell:
This tea definitely had the most fruity smell of all that I’ve so far. It definitely wasn’t unpleasant but it didn’t really make me WANT to drink it either. I guess I prefer the scent of spice in my tea 😉
The Taste:
I almost didn’t drink the acai/blueberry tea because of the blueberry. I actually HATE blueberries in drinks. I straight up failed the last time I tried a blueberry smoothie detox and was never motivated to try again. But surprisingly, I really liked how this tea tasted. I’m not sure if it’s because the blueberry was masked or just that my preferences have changed, but I’ll definitely be having this again!
The Benefits:
Blueberries are often used for detoxes and from what I’ve read, the acai berry has a host of health benefits, including weight loss. Supposedly, the combination of the two does some pretty powerful stuff! Like I said before, this tea definitely helped with my bloating today which I guess could be it’s benefits in detoxing, but I don’t have any personal proof of the weight loss…yet!
This may actually become my go-to tea from now on because I really liked the way it made me feel. I guess I was too quick to get rid of the rating scheme because the Purple Acai Berry would have been the highest so far!
Hope you had a great weekend! See you tomorrow for Day 6 of the challenge!

p.s. Recap of the 5K to come later in the week!
The lipton green tea super fruit…. Is just super like the name. Apart from the wonderful fruity smell.. It tastes good. Just right. I usually use honey with mine to improve its taste. But this tea is my everyday go to tea.
I love this tea and it really does taste great. I can’t use sugar in it so I use sweet and low in it. I’ve never like green teas or blueberries but this tea is really good. For sure this will be one of my favorite Lipton tea’s.
Just needed to express Now i’m glad that i stumbled upon your internet page!.
I just started drinking this tea and it is delicious. I hate green tea and have a hard time drinking it but this flavor has made it easy. i do add small amount not even a teaspoon size of honey in my drink and found that helps make it a tad bit sweeter.
I’ve been drinking organic Sambazon Acai juice everyday for years now. I love the taste and it makes me feel Good. But is the Sambazon Acai juice is also good for us.
