Hey Friends! How’s it goin?
After my elimination diet last summer, when I realised that dairy was causing all my gut pain, my biggest concern was cheese. My next worry was chocolate. Snickers, brownies, slices of 7 layer chocolate fudge cake and anything else with chocolate used to be my kryptonite. Even after I started eating healthier, it was impossible for me to stop indulging in some kind of chocolatey goodness occasionally.
Luckily, I actually love dark chocolate, so it wasn’t that hard for me to make the switch after I cut out dairy. But, there are only so many bars of dark chocolate you can eat before you go bankrupt get bored of it and want something different.
Since most chocolate desserts are not dairy-free, I started making desserts at home using recipes I found on the web. That eventually lead to me experimenting with developing my own. Turns out, it isn’t that hard to get your fill of chocolate without the dairy. And today, I want to share some of my favourite dairy-free chocolate filled recipes with you.

Oh wow let me stop drooling… Haha. I actually am trying to avoid dairy as my skin reacts badly to it, and tend to use just dark chocolate and sub dairy for other things in recipes, so these look perfect for me!

I want ALL the foods! The only really severe dietary restriction I have is peanuts… and it does actually make eating crazy complicated since “traces” of those suckers are in SO many packaged foods. And I’ve actually been cutting back on dairy for the past little while and I’m liking the results!

That was also my concern when I realised I should give up dairy for the sake of my health. Now I can’t even imagine a life without dark chocolate (which I had never tried before going vegan ;p). This post came just in time as I was wanting to make a sweet treat after supper tonight and wasn’t sure what to make. Yum!
Be still my heart! These all look amazing!!
Also you and Lee have a very similar style..sometimes I can’t tell your photos apart! (a compliment for both of you!)
