The Tea:
This afternoon I had a cup of David’s Tea’s Forever Nuts Tea. It’s got a cool ingredient list, just apples, almonds, cinnamon and beetroot. The almond/beetroot kind of threw me, mostly because I’ve probably only had beets once or twice in my life. But I saw it and thought, what the hell YOLO (then I promptly disowned myself for even thinking the word? acronym? ‘YOLO’)
The Preparation:
Use 1.5 tsp per cup and steep for 4-7 minutes in 98°C water.
The Smell
As soon as I first smelled the Forever nuts tea leaves it reminded me of something, but for the life of me I couldn’t remember what. After wracking my brain for about 10 minutes, I realised it smelled like granola. The kind with raisins and almonds and all sorts of mix ins. That’s one of my favourites, right after granola with chocolate chips, so I was pleased 🙂
The Taste:
The tea was probably one of the sweetest I’ve had. I think it’s the only one that I wouldn’t recommend adding any sweetener to. It had a gentle, natural sweetness to it that I wasn’t expecting. I actually thought it would taste more like the Mom’s Apple Pie because of the apple/cinnamon combo but it had a unique flavour all its own.
The Experience
It was sooo gloomy today. I really had zero motivation to do anything this afternoon and was procrastinating a bit when I decided to have my daily tea. Surprisingly, the Forever Nuts Tea did the impossible and inspired me to work, not only because of the sweet taste, but because of the amazing colour! It’s was just so PINK I couldn’t help but grin 😀
Thank you for sharing your profound experience with readers.
The tea’s vibrant pink color also had an unexpected impact, boosting her mood and motivating her to get to work despite a gloomy day.
