How’s this fine Monday treating ya? It’s super cold in Waterloo today :?. For some reason I forgot what 4C feels like and was not appropriately dressed for trekking around campus 🙁 Oh well…live and learn 😉
Anyway, onto the daily motivation.
“If you want to get ahead, you have to get started!”
Do these thoughts sound familiar to you?
“I really want to lose 10 pounds!”
“I need to get healthier!”
“I wish I could do a push up!”
Me too. When I was at my heaviest, wanting to lose weight was a constant thought.
But do you notice the trend of wanting, needing, wishing in these thoughts?
For those of you who are or have been on the same boat, I’ve got a question for you:
What are you DOING about it?
It’s great to want something but you can’t expect results if you do nothing. If you don’t get started you’ll never actually accomplishing anything.
One of the hardest parts of getting fit and healthy is actually getting started. It’s easy to sit around and moan and groan about how unhappy we are with our lifestyle but it’s pretty darn tough to actually decide to do something about it and go out and get started. And I think today’s quote sums that up perfectly.
So for all of you out there who what to get fit & healthy, or do anything really, remember that getting started isn’t easy but if you don’t take the leap and get started you’ll be right where you are now.
