The Tea:
Today’s tea was another one donated by a friend: Pistachio Cream Tea from David’s Tea. According to the website, it’s a combination of Mulberry leaf, pistachios, chamomile, natural cream, and flavouring. It sounded like a strange combination, but I was excited to try it.
The Preparation:
Use 1.5 tsp of pistachio cream tea leaves per cup and steep for 5 minutes in 98°C water.
The Experience:
I think the Pistachio Cream tea was great for a warm day like today. It’s light and not too overpowering and really made me feel like summer was still here 🙂
The Smell:
The tea leaves had an interesting scent; kind of dessert-like, with a promise of only good things. It only got better when brewed and I couldn’t wait for the first sip 😀
The Taste:
I’m not a big fan of chamomile tea, but the pistachios in the Pistachio Cream tea did a good job of masking the taste for me. I got a generous taste of pistachio while sipping and a bit less in the aftertaste. It was definitely reminiscent of a dessert, only slightly less sweet. I enjoyed it without any extras, but I’m sure that with some milk and sweetener the Pistachio Cream Tea would taste just like pistachio ice cream 🙂
The Benefits:
This Pistachio Cream tea contains mulberry leaf, which is supposed to be good for regulating blood sugar levels as well as aiding in weight loss. Mulberry leaf is also rich in many minerals and vitamins.
I really liked the Pistachio Cream tea and would probably pick up some on my trip to David’s Tea this weekend 😀

For a warm day like today, I recommend the Pistachio Cream tea. It’s airy and not too intense, and it reminded me that summer is still in full swing.
Pistachio cream tea on day 8 was a delightful surprise!
cyberpunk samurai jacket!
While drinking, I tasted a lot of pistachios, but not so much in the aftertaste. It tasted exactly like dessert, minus the sweetness, of course.
